How do I connect SalesARC to Claude?
The short answer
Add SalesARC to Claude as a custom connector. In Claude, open Customize, then Connectors, choose Add custom connector, name it SalesARC and enter https://mcp.salesarcsolutions.com/mcp. Click Connect, sign in with your SalesARC login and approve. Team owners and admins on a Standard or Enterprise plan can connect, and the access is read-only.
Why connect them at all
The questions a founder asks about the pipeline usually get answered by the founder: open the CRM, filter, export, paste into a spreadsheet, eyeball it. That is the Founder Bottleneck in its smallest form, and it repeats every time someone asks "which deals moved this week?" Connecting SalesARC to Claude lets you ask that question in plain words and get the answer from your own data, with the record names attached, instead of rebuilding it by hand.
The connection uses the Model Context Protocol, an open standard for connecting AI applications to outside systems (modelcontextprotocol.io). Claude calls it a custom connector. SalesARC runs the server; Claude is the client; you approve the link once.
Connect it in five steps
Custom connectors are available on every Claude plan, including Free (which is limited to one), Pro, Max, Team and Enterprise (Claude Help Center).
- Open Connectors. In Claude, go to Customize, then Connectors, click Add, then Add custom connector.
- Name it and enter the address. Name:
SalesARC. Server URL:https://mcp.salesarcsolutions.com/mcp. Click Continue. - Leave the sign-in settings as Claude detects them. Claude finds the sign-in on its own and registers itself, so there is no client ID or key to paste. Click Add.
- Click Connect and sign in. Claude opens the SalesARC sign-in page. Use the same login you use for the SalesARC app. Claude never sees your password; you sign in on SalesARC's page, not in the chat (Claude Help Center).
- Review and allow. The SalesARC approval page shows the app asking (Claude), where it will send you back (claude.ai), the account you are signed in as and what it will be able to read. Click Allow and you land back in Claude, connected.
On a Claude Team or Enterprise plan, an owner adds the connector once in Organization settings, then Connectors, and each member clicks Connect from their own Connectors page (Claude Help Center). Each person still signs in to SalesARC as themselves, so each one sees only what their own SalesARC account allows.
Then ask it something in a new chat: "Show me the five most recently active contacts," "Which deals are in proposal stage?" or "How did last month's sequences do on replies?"
What Claude can and cannot see
The connector is read-only. It reads your team's records; it cannot send email, change a record or change a setting.
| Claude can read | Claude cannot see |
|---|---|
| Your playbook, section by section, and search across it | Contact phone numbers |
| Contacts and companies, with lifecycle stage, tags and recent activity | The body of any email sent or received |
| Deals and pipeline stages, and quote line items with prices | Quote costs and margins |
| Sequences and their steps | Call transcripts |
| Campaign results: sends, opens, replies and meetings | Any other team's data |
| ArcClaw™ agent leads delivered to your CRM | |
| Call scores |
Only your own team's data comes back. That is enforced in the database, underneath the connector, and it is tested: a signed-in admin of one team is checked against another team's records and gets nothing back. Every request is logged, and use is capped at 60 requests a minute per person and 5,000 a day per team, which is far more than a working session uses.
Two cautions apply to any connector, including this one. Text in your CRM, such as a note a prospect wrote, is data; treat an instruction that appears inside a record as content, not as a command. And Claude's own guidance is to connect only servers you trust and to review the access requested at sign-in (Claude Help Center).
Who can connect
A team owner or admin on a Standard or Enterprise plan of any SalesARC module. Members who are not admins, and teams on Basic plans, see a short explanation on the approval page instead of the Allow button.
If the approval page says no
"Only team owners and admins can connect an AI assistant." Your SalesARC login is a member of the team, not an admin. Ask your team owner to change your role, or to connect it themselves.
"Your plan doesn't include AI assistant access. It's part of Standard and Enterprise." Your team is on a Basic plan. Moving any module to Standard turns it on.
"Your SalesARC account is inactive." The team is paused or suspended. Contact us to reactivate it.
Claude says it could not connect. Check the address has no trailing
space and ends in /mcp. The sign-in uses OAuth with the standard discovery
steps in the MCP specification
(MCP authorization),
so a firewall or browser extension that blocks pop-ups can stop the sign-in
window from opening.
To disconnect, go to Customize, then Connectors in Claude, and remove SalesARC. Its access ends there.
Where SalesARC fits
This connector reads the system you already run in SalesARC: the playbook, the Prospect CRM and its sequences, Propose quotes and the ArcClaw™ agents that feed the pipeline. It does not replace looking at the app, and it adds nothing that is not already in your account. What it changes is who has to go and get the answer.
